Island workshop

This is the most important programme within the PIM Initiative, and it is moreover where everything began, in the field!  … Because the PIM initiative is above all a human story, arising from our desire to share experiences and knowledge among the various administrators and rangers from this Mediterranean region, to improve the protection of this magnificent heritage.

To work on the land and "to get our hands dirty" is the best way of learning and of sharing experiences. The exchange of know-how that takes place in situ, thanks to training and concerted actions : cartography and inventory of the marine and terrestrial fauna and flora, technical workshop of invasive species control, elimination or regulation of invasive species, renovation of buildings, cleaning of beaches, waste management, public awareness, monitoring … With an objective : learn the job of a site manager and ranger.
